I&#8217;m Aman, a senior at <strong>Tufts University<\/strong> with a double concentration in Cognitive + Brain Science and Computer Science.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-24f5de8fb6a43945c8e676628ee187cc\">I was born in Mumbai but moved soon after to the Bay Area, where I\u2019ve lived ever since! If I\u2019m not at my local caf\u00e9, you\u2019ll probably find me soaking up the sun at a state park or hunting down a sweet treat. Check out the Chocolate tab for reviews of my favorite hot cocoa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While I have a variety of interests, many of them stem from the intersection of technology and society, in particular, how technology can be <a href=\"https:\/\/design.ncsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/principles-of-universal-design.pdf\">universally designed<\/a> so that the needs of all people are met. As part of my aim to gain an interdisciplinary skillset, I&#8217;ve contributed to a variety of research projects as well as worked at <strong>Nokia<\/strong> in <strong>Software QA <\/strong>and at <strong>EBSCO Information Services<\/strong> in <strong>Product Management<\/strong>. While research has taught me how to advance the state-of-the-art, industry experience has helped me learn how state-of-the-art technology is used to build products that actually meet market needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through my research projects and publications, I&#8217;ve explored many facets of <strong>human-computer interaction<\/strong>. In particular, I&#8217;m curious about user safety and empowerment, whether use of AI tools in work contexts or appropriate handling of data related to intimate areas of our lives such as dating or grief.
